Simplification Plan

As part of the cross - government Administrative Burdens Reduction Project (ABRP), the Commission continues to analyse how it can streamline and reduce the demands of regulation on charities.

Our 2008 Simplification Plan confirms our commitment to reducing the burden of Commission regulation to the minimum that is consistent with effective regulation. It covers a range of measures that have been taken, including the Charities Act 2006 and the outcome of the recent consultation on financial thresholds. It also explains the impact of a significant remeasurement on our baseline and on our projected savings.

We will continue to develop the Plan as more initiatives are identified. If you have any suggestions for reducing the burden on charities please send your ideas by email.
